All changes in 2026.3.004
Payroll
-
Mark employees as not eligible for FLSA overtime New
Applies to: customers using Direct10 Payroll and W-2 Code TT reporting.
A new FLSA Overtime Eligible checkbox has been added to the Employee Master File, Payroll tab. Employees marked as not eligible will be excluded from W-2 Code TT overtime reporting. Existing employees default to eligible, so current reporting is unchanged unless you update this setting.
-
New tool to review and adjust W-2 overtime figures New
Applies to: customers using Overtime Special Rate.
A new Generate W-2 TT Calculations screen lets you review the calculated Code TT figure for each employee before finalizing W-2s, and manually adjust it where needed. This is aimed at customers using Overtime Special Rate, since Direct10 can't always calculate that figure automatically for that pay type. Employees using standard overtime entry are unaffected.
-
W-2 overtime premium missing for split paychecks Fixed
If an employee's overtime hours were split across a paycheck — some hours paid at regular rate, the rest at overtime — W-2 Code TT only included the premium for the portion entered directly as an overtime line, undercounting the rest. It now correctly includes the premium for all of those overtime hours.
-
Overtime Special Rate being replaced by Overtime Types from 2027 New
Applies to: all Payroll customers, ahead of the 2027 tax year.
Starting with 2027 payroll, Overtime Special Rate (Calculation Type 7) is being retired in favor of Overtime Types — a way to define your own overtime pay rules so W-2 Code TT can be calculated automatically and consistently. This doesn't affect 2026 payroll or W-2s; we'll be in touch with more detail before the 2027 tax year.
Accounts Payable
-
Voiding a check could wrongly prompt to "Reclassify as Manual Check" Fixed
If a check number had previously been voided and reused for a new check, voiding that new check could incorrectly show the "Reclassify as Manual Check" prompt instead of voiding normally — even though the check had never actually been voided before. Voiding now works correctly regardless of whether the check number was previously reused.
-
Print Checks posting to the wrong GL account Fixed
In certain situations, Print Checks could post to an incorrect GL account. This is now corrected.
-
Clearer guidance on the Reclassify as Manual Check screen Improved
Added on-screen text explaining what this action does, so it's clearer what to expect before confirming.
Dispatch
-
Invoices created with a blank invoice number Fixed
Invoices transferred from Dispatch billing could occasionally end up with no invoice number assigned, which meant they wouldn't appear on the Invoices tab in Accounts Receivable even though the billing itself had gone through correctly. A valid invoice number is now always assigned.
-
Crash opening Shipment Management Fixed
Opening Shipment Management from Dispatch could crash the application entirely, requiring a restart and re-adding shortcuts. This is now resolved.
-
Military shipment fields not printing on Paperwork formats Fixed
Military Branch and Code, entered on a shipment, had stopped printing on Paperwork formats that include them. They now print correctly again.
-
More reliable Shipment Management job list Improved
Jobs that had already been resolved could keep lingering in the "needs attention" list. Resolved jobs now drop off the list as expected, and each remaining job shows one clear, accurate reason it still needs review.
General Ledger
-
New budget years missing Expense accounts Fixed
Preparing a new Budget Year (Actual basis) was skipping Expense accounts entirely, so a newly created budget had no expense figures at all — only Revenue accounts came through. Expense accounts are now included alongside Revenue accounts.
Storage Manager
-
Quarterly billing running a month late Fixed
Applies to: customers using quarterly Storage Manager billing with Behind accrual.
Storage lots set to bill quarterly with a Starting Month of 2, 5, 8, or 11 using Behind accrual were billing a month later than they should have — and in one case, not billing at all. These lots now bill in the correct month.
Van Line Statement Download
-
Statement preview sort order getting stuck Fixed
Once you sorted a column in the statement preview, it would stay sorted that way permanently — even clicking Reset couldn't bring back the original order. The preview now always opens in the original download order, regardless of any sorting from a previous session.
Reporting
-
PDFs can now be saved as editable Fixed
PDFs have always been generated as read-only, whether attached to an email or saved to disk. When saving a PDF to disk, you're now shown a Print and View Only option, checked by default to keep the existing behavior — uncheck it to save an editable PDF instead. PDFs attached to emails remain read-only, and any PDF saved with a password is always read-only regardless of this setting.
-
Agent Master report filter returning no results Fixed
The Agent Master report's posting-type filter wasn't working — filtering to a specific posting type silently returned no records. This is now corrected.
General
-
New "What's New" screen New
A new What's New item on the main menu opens a summary of what's changed in each Direct10 release, right inside the application — this page. It always shows the latest release notes, so there's no need to check anywhere else after an update.
-
Ctrl+Tab not switching tabs Fixed
Ctrl+Tab wasn't switching between tabs on certain windows. Keyboard tab-switching now works consistently throughout the application.
-
Clear message when your database needs updating Improved
If your database is behind the version Direct10 expects, the application would previously fail to start with no explanation. It now shows a clear message telling you the database needs to be updated, instead of leaving you guessing.
-
Connection failures on newer database drivers Fixed
Sites using newer ODBC database drivers with longer database names could experience connection failures. This has been corrected.
-
Improved protection of sensitive information in diagnostic logs Improved
We've continued to reduce the amount of potentially sensitive information written to diagnostic logs. No action is required.
-
Updated remote-support link Improved
The Help menu's remote-support link now points to our current support tool, replacing the retired link that no longer worked.
